Match Report

Riley went in goal in the first half and did not have too much to do. Every player passed and tackled really well today. It was also really pleasing to see the crossing from out wide, that we practice at training every week, being delivered so well in a game. At least 2 of our goals were a result of this – Maeve getting on the end of a cross from Con, simply by being in the right place.

Ash and Fin took on the defence time and again and were both rewarded with goals.

In the second half, Maeve went in goal and we saw the opposition came more into the game. James found himself in the middle of the action more often than not and his determination saw him regularly win the ball.

At the back Arwen, Kieran and Kane found themselves a lot busier than the first half, but all defended well as usual – denying the Hawks time and again. Kieran got himself on the score sheet for godd measure too.

A very good team performance today. POW went to Ash, back from injury and displaying all the assets in his repertoire – blistering pace, great shot, ability to pass to a team mate and covering up at the back to help the defence out.
