Match Report U9 Hawks – 17-04-2010

Match Report	Our first game of the season proper and Zac Okabe sleeps in, whilst Jarred Gregory is on the tail-end of a gastro bug and missed playing most of the game because of it – poor kid. Anyway, the team ‘recover’ and go on to play much better than they did in their previous two trial games. Nathan Gregory and Lachlan Yabsley looked after our defence, whilst Christian Giles and Drew Hamilton were everywhere in mid-field. Jacob Bishop, Sasha Duetoft and Zac kept the pressure on, as forwards should, and scored some magnificent goals. Blaxland were kept scoreless, thanks to good goal keeping by Sasha and Zac (when Blaxland were down that end of the field) and good defence, particularly by Nathan, who’s improvement week by week earned him the POTW trophy. Nice start to the year boys! Good luck with the season ahead – have fun, improve your skills, play fair and reap the rewards that come with this.
